Changing lives forever

Since its inception, Haileybury Foundation has nurtured a number of deserving young scholarship beneficiaries who have gone on to achieve great things from studying at prestigious universities, starting or building businesses and contributing and giving back to their community.

Foundation 2027 Scholarships

The Haileybury Foundation, generously supported by Old Haileyburians, parents, staff and friends, offers tuition free scholarships for students who would not normally be in a position to afford a Haileybury education. We are delighted to announce that applications will open in November 2025 for a range of Haileybury Foundation scholarships commencing in 2027 in Year 7, 8, 9 or 10.

Applications close Friday, 13 February 2026 at 5:00pm.

If you have any questions or need support in completing your application, please email foundation@haileybury.com.au or call +61 3 9904 6100.

Eligibility

Haileybury Foundation scholarships can be awarded to Victorian students who are going into Year 7,9 or 10 at any of our Victorian based campuses and;

  • would not ordinarily be able to attend Haileybury based on their current financial situation.
  • Are positive contributors to the community in which the student lives.

Recipients will be selected on the basis of a completed application form (available on the School’s website) where they will outline their past and current contribution and commitment to their community and a short interview with (jointly) a member of the Senior Executive and a member of the Foundation's Board. The recipient must also satisfy the "equity" requirement of the Rules of the Haileybury Scholarship Fund.

The availability of the scholarship will be advertised on the School's website and elsewhere as decided by the Principal.

The recipient must be an Australian citizen, or a permanent resident of Australia within the meaning of the Australian Citizenship Act 1948.

  • Shortlisted students and their families are invited to meet with Haileybury staff to discuss the student’s aspirations, interests, and attributes.
  • Successful applicants are notified in writing, with offers typically covering between 50-100% of school fees depending on the circumstances.

Selection Criteria

  • Haileybury Foundation scholarships are means-tested and prioritise families who would not otherwise be able to access a Haileybury education.
  • Students who show strong academic promise, and/or strong capability in areas such as sport, music, the arts, or community service are encouraged to apply.
  • Applicants should demonstrate a positive attitude toward school and a willingness to contribute to the Haileybury community.
  • Attributes such as resilience, leadership, community-mindedness, and character are strongly considered.
